Just like Apple Watch and Apple Airpods this product will also be selling like crazy. This product will be called Apple Tag, iTag or AirTag. Most probably Apple will name it as Apple Tag only as it has removed naming its product with prefix ‘i’.



This product will be very very small in size. You can put it as a keychain and with many of your belongings like your keys, wallets, suitcases and many other things. This tiny AppleTag will be having Bluetooth low energy to connect to your phones. It will have 200-400 ft of connection range. In case you are more than 400ft away from your belonging having AppleTag, it will not only visible to your iPhone only but will other device which will pass through nearby and have Bluetooth enabled. That means if someone have iPhone and Bluetooth will send the location to the Apple servers and than that server will give the signal to your device that where your belonging is.


You will automatically get a notification once your belonging is located via AppleTag or AirTag. AppleTag can be configurable from the App called as Find My iPhone but in iOS-13 it has renamed to Find My. From iOS-13 you can locate your iPhone and other Apple products through Find My App even if you do not have internet connection. AppleTag will also be working with this technology only.


According to the rumours by Macrumour, Apple brought the brand from a company from Zelenograd. ISBC has sold its trademark to Apple, which was a leading RFID tag card manufacturer. Aside from these, leaker Macrumour also found that in iOS-13 beta a new UI defined Find My App. This includes extra menu tab on the bottom in which the AppleTag may be listed.


This AppleTag is likely to come with Apple’s new U1 chip that is also known as Ultrawide band technology chip. This chip was introduced in iPhone 11 and 11Pro model. This chip allows very precise localisation of your iPhone.
