Apple introduced the new Apple Watch series 6 in the September Event 2020. Apple Watch series 6 is loaded with powerful features and interesting design. Apple Watch series 6 also has some cosmetics changes. Read the blog further to know more about series 6.

 

COLOUR


Apple Watch series 6 is almost colourful line-up ever in the Apple Watch series. The Apple watch series 6 comes with the new Aluminium case, updated classic gold in stainless-steel, grey black in stainless-steel known as graphite and the stunning new Apple watch series 6 Product Red.



VO2 SENSOR


This Apple Watch series 6 comes with very great and handy features. This year in series a new sensor is added that measures the blood oxygen right from your wrist from Apple’s Watch series 6. The new sensor in Apple watch series 6 turns red and sends infrared light waves and then measures the rays that are reflected back. These reflected rays are then measured and the algorithm uses this data to calculate the amount of oxygen present in the blood.


This series 6 watch measures the amount of oxygen level in just 15 seconds. Series 6 also captures the background reading and then post in your iPhone’s Health App. It also helps in displaying early signs of COVID-19.


PERFORMANCE & PROCESSOR


Apple Watch series 6 comes with S6 processor. It includes high performance dual core processor based on the A13 bionic chipset present in the iPhone 11. Apple Watch series 6 S6’s processor is 20%   faster than the previous model. Apple Watch series 6 features U1 chip and ultra wideband antennas. It can offer a complete full charge in 1.5 hours.


DISPLAY & DESIGN


Apple Watch series 6 has a better Always on Display than the previous model series 5. Apple Watch series 6 offers upto 2.5* times brighter display than the previous model. So now it’s more easy to read even in the sunny daylight. Series 6 also offers Always on Altimeter that shows continuous elevation throughout the day.


WATCHFACES


Watchfaces are fundamental to the Apple Watch experience. There’s great new design with the Apple Watch Series 6. The new GMT Watchface shows multiple time zone at once and also automatically takes into account where you are. The count up Watchface lets you start the lapsetime and lastly the chronograph pro watchface features multiple time scale including tachymeter that measures speed. In the typograph face numerals can be displayed in 3 different styles and 4 different scripts. The memoji watchface lets you put custom memoji on watchface. And different types of stripes Watchfaces are also available.


NEW WATCH BANDS


Other than traditional old Apples watch band which have buckle and limited to few preset sizes, Apple in the recent event announced new solo loop. It does not have any buckle or no overlapping parts. It is made up with silicon. And on the contrary it is stretchable so that you can easily fit onto your wrist. It is durable and swim proof. It is available in various range of sizes. It comes in 7 new colours.


Another watch band is called as braided solo loop. It is braided with ultraslim silicon and would be available in 5 different colours.


A new leather band is also introduced without any buckle. There are also several updates for the Apple Nike Watch edition and Apple Watch Hermes edition.


PRICING

Apple Watch series 6 GPS edition will be starting at $399. That is in India it will be priced around Rs. 41k.
